Iphone: I-Hit or I-Miss?
Jul 9, 11:10 AM | written by Dave Peele
It has been a very long time since our last post. We apologize for that. New family additions, building homes and our crazy hectic development schedule have not left us with much time to devote to our journal. We are really going to try to keep up with our writing like we should over the next few months. We will see what happens.
It has been a little over a week since the much anticipated release of the Iphone . Unless you have been living under a rock on another planet, then you know what I am talking about. As all the swirl around the newest product release from Apple is beginning to die down, we thought it would be a good time to start a little discussion about it.
Being that John and I are affiliated with other mobile providers and the Iphone is currently only being offered through AT&T, we have not had much of a chance to review the product in person. Current contract termination fees, moderately high pricing and common first generation bugs will probably keep us from buying one until the second generation phones are released. However, being fans of Apple’s simple and effective product design and development skills, we are fairly certain that the Iphone lives up to its billing.
But we would like to hear from you, the current owners. Write in and give us your personal reviews of the newest kid on the block. How does it look and feel? Does it operate quickly? Tell us about all the cool new features. How do the standard features compare to other phones? For those of us just looking for a phone, is it a good one?
So drop us a line and tell us what you think. We would love to hear from everyone out there.

Great point, Jeff! I have thought the Iphone was a little price-y myself. Good to see someone finally rationalize the high price of the phone.

The iPhone is an incredible piece of technology. Clean, simple, easy to use and very easy to LEARN to use. Most importantly … anyone interested should look into the costs, both initial and long term. Yes, the phone itself comes with a high price tag, but the base service package is $20 a month cheaper than that of what AT&T charges for service on a Blackberry or other smartphone. Over the life of your 2 year contract, it is nearly a break-even situation.
Also, the iPhone works with products such as Basecamp … the blackberry does not (or at least I never managed to get it to).
