RiverLakes Community Church
Project Information
RiverLakes contacted us in search of a team to redesign their existing site. They wanted to create a look that spoke more directly to their youthful congregation and the audience they were targeting with their message. They also wished to simplify an organizational structure that consisted of a large number of ministries and associated sub-ministries. Lastly, they wanted to implement event registration and online donations into the site while simplifying the content management system the site was built within.
We understood that RiverLakes had an unique set of needs and RBP felt like this was the perfect project to “flex” our programming muscle. We decided to build a custom CMS from scratch using a newer language, Django, a high-level Python web framework that allows for rapid development. Django’s automatic admin interface allowed us to focus on simplifying the CMS and developing it in a short timeframe compared to using PHP or the like. RiverLakes and RBP were very pleased with the final product – a great looking, highly functional site built within a custom CMS that caters directly to the needs of RiverLakes staff with no fluff or un-needed features. This site is some of our best work to date!
